Call For Participation in Poster Session

Introduction:

Knowledge has become the key strategic asset for the 21st Century. Every organization that values knowledge must invest in developing the best strategy for identifying, developing and applying the knowledge assets it needs to succeed. This will enable them to learn, create new knowledge, and apply the best knowledge much faster.
Every individual who wishes to successfully participate in the rapidly growing global knowledge community must now consider the development of their personal knowledge management competencies as an ‘essential life skill’ for the 21st Century. That is why Knowledge Management is important for us as students to know about and that is why there is a Student Day at the Workshop on Knowledge Management Capacity in Africa, which will be in January 2012, that is dedicated for students’ participation .
The idea of the Student Day is to allow the students to participate in such big events and show the world their potential. It is a chance for them to know and apply what they know the best, and link to the best of the rest, through knowledge and ideas sharing with their colleagues from different countries as well as with the experts in the field.
The goal of this call is to encourage Students from different universities to present their work and project ideas to the workshop participants who include other students, as well as researchers and practitioners from around the world. If you wish to participate in this Poster Session you are required to provide a Title, Your Name and University and a Paragraph describing your presentation. This presentation can be about a project you worked on, a software you developed, or even a research or development idea you plan for the future! You will present your work/idea as a poster on the first day of the workshop (4th January, 2012) as part of the poster session.
There will be a prize for the best poster.

Poster Session Topics:
We are particularly interested in student projects in the area of knowledge management, information and communication, as well as your innovations in building software systems to support any of the following five sectors: Education, Health, Environment, Business and Governance.
